Character Sheet 01 | Professor Hecker

Working on making an Legend of Zelda based comic, so I decided to make my on little designs for these modern versions of Phantom Hourglass / Wind Waker characters. Here's the first one. Professor here is actually the 'main character' of sorts, being that we follow him around the most instead of someone else.

So, now that's out of the way, I suppose I should explain a little bit about Becky's backstory, hm? Well. . . Linebeck Hecker was adopted into a family with only one child already in their family. His mother unable to give birth to another, thus his adoption. Growing up was a little difficult but he didn't mind it as he and his brother got along great! Parents not fighting a lot and for the most part there was nothing, nothing at all, wrong with his 'family'. Until, a few years when his brother got into a car accident and died from lack of money in medication. After this happened, Linebeck's perspective took a complete 180, and he went into studying psychology, biology, chemistry, algebra 1-2 and triginometry. Working as best he could to show his ability in the medical field, he got a near full-ride scholarship and went into studying medicine.

Despite all this effort and after he graduated -early, to top it all off, he even got married- his first patient came in and he couldn't hold his food down and disappeared. Becoming 'sick' himself. Unable to treat patients very well, getting queasy easily despite his degree and otherwise steel stomach.

So, instead he turned to teaching, getting a job at Hyrule University and teaching basic Science courses to the one's who needed them and a bit more advanced courses of math to others. This was around the time when he also lost his wife in a divorce. . .

Professor Hecker is known well for his piss-poor attitude towards students and turned to smoking in his mid twenties to 'help' levitate some stress. He uses a neckerchief to keep his hair up and refuses to leave the house without it. He's said to be the "best" teacher, not for his actual teaching ability but because of how much knowledge he actually had in-the-all, able to turn a student blue any time he needed to toughen them up at all.
